OBJECTIVE
Design two posters on social issues that you face today. Take a stand on a social issue below and design a set of posters that relate to each other systematically. The posters need to be unified in someway while sharing some common threads. Each design should be able to stand alone. Determine what call to action you desire from your audience.
CONCEPT
These posters portray mental illness and mental health respectively. The first poster shows tangled strings more like the brain playing cat cradle with the person's emotions which leads to knots being tied and not knowing how to feel about your emotions. Generally, pulling on a single thread inside the knot too tightly makes the strings tighter. Is that what happens when we try to concentrate too much on a single problem?  Do we tense ourselves up with our intense focus and intense desire? I like to think about the tangled thoughts and emotions that bring a person to therapy as unraveling through focused, purposeful discussion. Once the person learns how to be in tune with their emotions they grow just like the beautiful flowers portrayed on the later poster.
American Psychiatric Association is the main professional organisation of psychiatrists and trainee psychiatrists in the United States, and the largest psychiatric organisation in the world. Their mission is to promote the highest-quality care for individuals with mental disorders and their families.
I wanted to use this organisation in my posters to make people aware about it and seek help online.
